Taurus - April 21 to May 21

Taurus Horoscope 2014 -Yearly horoscope forecast for Taurus

OPPORTUNITIES FOR TAURUS IN 2014

Taureans are one of the best host/esses of the zodiac but you’ll be delighted to find that with Jupiter in your solar third house until 16 July 2014,  you’ll be umbilically attached to your laptop, iPad or iPhone for the first half of the year. Perhaps you’ll be writing proposals, articles, blogs, stories, a book or putting together the content for a website. Other Taurus may be enjoying a return to night school, learning a new course while others are busy helping their children with their education, teaching them to read, count, or spell. You can expect more contact with your brothers and sisters now and this is the ideal time to get more involved in your local community. Introduce yourself to your neighbours! Wonderful days where your silver tongue and well-chosen written words can help you sell ice to the Eskimos, win over the man or woman or your dreams via a mind-blowing conversation, achieve an enormous legal victory or book the most amazing holiday of your life thanks to a helpful hotel or airline employee.

On 16 July, Jupiter enters in Leo, in your solar fourth house of family. This is the ideal time to look for a larger home or apartment, renovate, extend, invest in commercial property, advertise for tenants, welcome a family member back into the fold, or to become pregnant and expand your family. There is something quite fated about 4 August when you could feel that a family member or a household situation has gotten between you and your career but you will love, love, love 5 September for incredible joy and loveliness at home. A house you buy – or move into now – could start one of the happiest periods of your life. Decorating will be irresistible! And you could get a surprise boost to the family finances or you could suddenly purchase a property. When Jupiter goes retrograde on 8 December until 31 December 2014 you may come to a halt in plans to do with your living arrangements. You may not be able to move, renovate or extend until February 2015.

CHALLENGES FOR TAURUS IN 2014

Saturn has entered in your solar seventh house of relationships since  6 October 2012  and he will leave this house on 24 December 2014. Over this time, you’ve experienced certain close companions as stern, judgemental, pessimistic, cautious, pragmatic, cynical and black-and-white in his/her views. But look in the mirror. You’ve been behaving like this at times, as well. Some relationships – or one in particular – have caused you a lot of pain. Taureans gravitate naturally to long-term, exclusive relationships so in general, Saturn’s push for commitment is not as anathema to you as say, those free-spirited Geminis and irresponsible Sagittarians! But some Taureans can drift for years in a going-nowhere relationship. It’s comfortable, but one or both of you can’t imagine marrying each other. Saturn will put a stop to this endless coasting: marry me or else! And those of you in committed relationships could feel the weight of responsibility now. Perhaps it really is all work and no play. Ironically, Saturn will force you to schedule some fun so you don’t abandon what and who is good for you.

Saturn will reward you in the end, whether you’re with someone new, or you’ve learnt how to manage your existing relationship, in 2014 you could move in together, propose, marry or end it if the commitment factor is lacking. Saturn does want you to make an effort! The seventh house also rules business partnerships, peers and your open enemies. The nastiest remarks that people openly say to you are ones you must take on board: unfortunately there will be more than a grain of truth to their criticism!
Just to check that you’re being serious, Saturn goes retrograde from 2 March until 20 July 2014, helping you to reassess your relationship and to confirm your long-term suitability.

Saturn makes a beautiful trine to Jupiter on 24 May giving you hope and a shared commitment towards your relationship. If you’re single, you may meet a real keeper through one of your friends. Single Taureans could meet a wonderful long-term partner via friends on  24 May while coupled-up Bulls will thoroughly enjoy being out with friends that evening, enjoying the togetherness with others. You may plan, book or depart for a sexy holiday on 26 December – some of you could return with a tan, a (wo)man, and/or a proposal. Others may decide to make their coupledom official. Yes, Virginia, there really is a Santa Clause.

Love and Relationships for Taurus

In love, the Taurus-born likes to have and to hold. They are the marrying kind. They like commitment and they like the terms of a relationship to be clearly defined. More importantly, Taurus likes to be faithful to one lover, and they expect that lover to reciprocate this fidelity. When this doesn’t happen, their whole world comes crashing down. When they are in love Taurus people are loyal, but they are also very possessive. They are capable of great fits of jealousy if they are hurt in love.

Taurus is satisfied with the simple things in a relationship. If you are involved romantically with a Taurus there is no need for lavish entertainments and constant courtship. Give them enough love, food and comfortable shelter and they will be quite content to stay home and enjoy your company. They will be loyal to you for life. Make a Taurus feel comfortable and – above all – secure in the relationship, and you will rarely have a problem.

In love, Taurus can sometimes make the mistake of trying to control their partners, which can cause great pain on both sides. The reasoning behind their actions is basically simple: Taurus people feel a sense of ownership over their partners and will want to make changes that will increase their own general comfort and security. This attitude is OK when it comes to inanimate, material things – but is dangerous when applied to people. Taurus needs to be careful and attentive to this possible trait within themselves.

Taurus Love Horoscope 2014 - Love and Relationship trends 2014

In october 2012 Saturn has come by in Scorpio to oppose your Sun, so you have become more realistic, practical, and mature. You have shown yourself to be a lot tougher than anyone thought, and you've gained the respect of all who have watched you go through this phase. Saturn uses tough love methods, so while you may have found that the road has been strewn with thorns, you have learned to be responsible and accountable, and the value of being consistent and reliable. Saturn teaches us that nothing in life comes for free, and that which we work the hardest to achieve is inevitably what we value the most.

You may have reassessed and reordered some long-held priorities and now have a new appreciation for what is (and is not) important to you in life. You also now put a greater premium on time and have found ways to be more productive in less time. All these gifts have come to you from Saturn. Some people need a lot of Saturn's tutoring, and some need only a little. Saturn gives only what you need in order to learn the message he is trying to convey to you—no more, no less. Think back to where you were before Saturn came by in October 2012, and you will see how far you have come.

Ever since Saturn entered Scorpio in 2012 and began to oppose your Taurus Sun, he has focused you keenly on one close personal relationship. The relationship could have been one you share with a romantic partner, or it may be where your attention was drawn to a business partner, agent, publicist, or manager. Your partner may have been in dire need of your help, or conversely, your partner may have disappointed or betrayed you. No matter how things played out, a partner may have consumed a great deal of your thinking and caused you worry.

Part of Saturn's lesson may have been to assess realistically the promises others have made to you so that you can make wise partnership decisions in the future. On the flip side, you were to learn that you, too, have to fulfill certain promises you made to others close to you, even if you had not thought too deeply about how difficult it would be to stick to your word in the future. Life brings all kinds of circumstances, and while you may not have any concerns about your ability to deliver on promises during times of ease, when making commitments you must also think about continuing to do so during the tough times, even when it is not convenient or easy to do so. You learned that if marriage, established partnerships, and business collaborations have privileges, they also have certain responsibilities to the other person.

For other Taurus, the lesson would be to become a little less impressionable and trusting, for if you were, you may have been burnt. For others, the lesson may have been not to take a partner for granted and to give more than you have in the relationship. For still others, it might have been that relationships can't always be equal—sometimes one partner has to carry the majority of the weight, especially if your partner is facing a challenging situation.

The most extreme manifestation of this trend would be if you discovered that your partner has betrayed you or is no longer compatible with you. If, despite all you tried to do to save the union, all was in vain, you then needed to decide whether to stay or go and not turn back.

If you don't have a partner, you may have felt generally that life's conditions were difficult and that you were battling a universe that was raining rocks on your head. In business, you may have had a tough or even unfair competitor who was trying to steal your market share, so you had to outwit and overcome this person or company—this is but one of many possible examples. Or, it might have been that conditions in your industry or the economy had turned so tough that it took extraordinary measures to navigate through the high seas. In those instances, necessity may have propelled you to invention—and some of your best ideas ever.

If a relationship was not your focus, you may have suffered health problems. If you had this manifestation from Saturn, there is every reason to believe you will feel better in time. Saturn would not deny you recovery, but the caveat to that recovery will be that you show the universe you are willing to do what your doctor asks of you. With Saturn there is always a test, and always a need to respond.

We learn most about ourselves and about life during times of difficulty, not in times of ease. It is then, during hard times, that we show the world our true character and display the values that are truly important to us. If someone wronged you, you had to stand up and say that action was not acceptable. In the end, we teach others how we expect to be treated.

Keep in mind that some of the difficulties may not have been of your making. Another person—a partner—may have foisted them on you. I know life is not always fair. We can't always control what happens to us. The only thing we can control is how we respond. In that respect, you can show the world how resourceful, resilient, and determined you are to overcome the conditions being presented to you.

Saturn on the Sun (like your opposite sign of Scorpio has had) brings a voluntary life challenge, such as, "I want to start my own business," or "I want to buy my first house." But when Saturn opposes the Sun, as you have this year, dear Taurus, you don't always get to choose your challenge, as sometimes the universe chooses it for you. After that happens, the universe stands back to see what you will do. Saturn periods can be tough because the problems presented are almost always new ones—not ones you would have experienced in the past. That forces you to come up with new solutions and to rely on intuition when dealing with ambiguous situations.

You may have felt isolated or alone lately too, perhaps because you felt others do not understand your plight, or if they do, are not in a position to help. That can be so frustrating. You are certainly finding out who your friends are and now know (or soon will) who will support you and who will not. There are all sorts of life lessons learned when Saturn comes for a visit, and you probably feel that by now you could write a whole book on what you learned.

Once gone, on December 2014, Saturn won't come back to the place he is now, Scorpio, until October 2040. In case you are wondering, when Saturn does return in that year, it will be easier for you, for you will have already learned a great deal from this past visit of this taskmaster planet. Saturn rules maturity, so as we advance in years, we find Saturn easier to host. That's proof positive that you'll need a lot less of Saturn next time 'round!

Saturn's will be an encouraging influence to take your marriage up another notch. You are ready for more, and Saturn will show you that you can handle more. One of those ways would be to bring a baby into your home. Saturn's presence in your house of marriage would indicate a new development in your timeline, whether to get married or to make your marriage closer. I could think of no better way to use this influence if you are ready to care for a child.

Venus, Your Ruler, is Retrograde until January 31 - Avoid Plastic Surgery, Spending on Luxury Items, Parties, Engagements

Another phase in 2014 that may prove frustrating to you is when Venus, your ruler,  is retrograde, until January 31. When Venus is out of phase, she withholds her greatest powers of love and beauty, so life takes on a serious, no-frills quality. It's not the time to wed, to give a big party or charity benefit, and it's certainly not the time to have plastic surgery or even try a radical new way to wear your hair. You must wait through this period.

If you've already sent out the invitations to your wedding, and you are due to be wed when Venus is retrograde, then consider this rather radical idea. On the day you and your fiancé go to get the wedding license (a day that should carefully be chosen by an astrologer when Venus is not retrograde), have a short wedding ceremony at City Hall with two very trusted friends acting as witnesses. Technically, you will be married that day, but you will never tell any of your family or friends about the "real" wedding date later. (Now you know why you need very trusted friends.) You will never celebrate the day of the City Hall wedding, but you will create a far better day to wed than later, when Venus is retrograde.

For the record, I would avoid the time when Mars, an essentially masculine energy, will be retrograde too, from March 1 to May 20. Mars rules sex, and with Mars retrograde, the sex in the marriage may be lacking over time. Keep in mind that the date of your wedding (or any big initiation) is the day you will set the DNA of your marriage into place forever. That is why it is important to choose the right day to make any important initiation.

Financial Horoscope for Taurus

Taurus is very money-conscious. Wealth is more important to them than to many other signs. Wealth to a Taurus means comfort and security. Wealth means stability. Where some zodiac signs feel that they are spiritually rich if they have ideas, talents or skills, Taurus only feels wealth when they can see and touch it. Taurus’ way of thinking is, ‘What good is a talent if it has not been translated into a home, furniture, car and holidays?’

These are all reasons why Taurus excels in estate agency and agricultural industries. Usually a Taurus will end up owning land. They love to feel their connection to the Earth. Material wealth began with agriculture, the tilling of the soil. Owning a piece of land was humanity’s earliest form of wealth: Taurus still feels that primeval connection.

It is in the pursuit of wealth that Taurus develops intellectual and communication ability. Also, in this pursuit Taurus is forced to develop some flexibility. It is in the quest for wealth that they learn the practical value of the intellect and come to admire it. If it were not for the search for wealth and material things, Taurus people might not try to reach a higher intellect.

Some Taurus people are ‘born lucky’ – the type who win any gamble or speculation. This luck is due to other factors in their horoscope; it is not part of their essential nature. By nature they are not gamblers. They are hard workers and like to earn what they get. Taurus’ innate conservatism makes them abhor unnecessary risks in finance and in other areas of their lives.

Horoscope Taurus - Money Trends 2014

Jupiter in Leo in the second half of the year will allow you to buy or rent a beautiful new apartment or house. If you prefer to stay where you are based now, you will be able to make stylish improvements. Jupiter brings financial benefits, too, so depending on what you choose to do to take steps to make it more attractive, your home could easily appreciate in value.

If you do move, your new home that you lease or buy is likely to be very spacious and sunny, for Jupiter enlarges all that it touches. Yet you may not have to move at all to get Jupiter's benefits of spaciousness—someone you share your home with now may move out, leaving you so much more space. With no need to find a someone else, you will be able to use the space as you wish. This is only one example of how Jupiter works his magic—you may see different manifestations.

Your home and family—including your residence, other possible property, and concerns about family, particularly a parent—will be the very best area where most of your luck will be focused and where most of your growth and happiness will be centered starting this June and continuing for one year. If you want to buy a house, fix up your present home, or even buy a weekend country home, this would be your best time in twelve years to do so. Changes and additions you make to your present home now would vastly appreciate its value.

When looking at new properties, do not settle for a less than special space that feels "just okay." Instead, choose the space I see for you, namely a large, sunny house or apartment with a view and large closets. If you plan to live in the country, the house would have land surrounding it and may offer a garden. Working on your outside property as well as on the inside of your home would be a great idea. If you already have a home in the country, this would be the year to hire a landscapist to help you redesign the flowers and greenery on your property, and if you live in the city, to bring plants, a tree, or flowers inside.

If you are in danger of losing your home because you can't afford to pay the mortgage (perhaps because your house depreciated in the economic climate and you are classified as a homeowner "under water"), don't give up. Chances are, you can find a solution or government program that applies to you. Jupiter is called the planet of miracles, and with Pluto, ruling the government, so friendly to Mars, you have good reason to stay upbeat! Talk over your options with your banker sooner rather than later.

If you have had problems selling your home, change your strategy in consultation with your broker—perhaps adjust your price or stage the space differently. You should be able to get your home sold in the coming twelve months, and the price should please you. Jupiter always brings financial benefit to all he touches. Of course, there is always the danger of being overly optimistic with Jupiter, so keep things real at all times.

Your impending visit of Jupiter starting in 27 July will bring you substantial family support, too. If you need a loan from your parents to help you pay your rent or other living expenses because you are out of work, don't be too shy to ask. If you want to make little additions to your home that would require a carpenter that you can't afford, your father may volunteer to help you put up shelves or make other little changes. You might even get an outright gift of cash from your parents to help you with your down payment on a purchase of a house or condo.

Jupiter will not only bring you luck from family, but will also bring luck to your parents as well—it works both ways. If one has been ill, the move of Jupiter into this house could prove a blessing, for you should see an upturn in your parent's health in time.

Career, Work and Public Image for Taurus

Being essentially down-to-earth people, simple and uncomplicated, Taurus tends to look up to those who are original, unconventional and inventive. Taurus people like their bosses to be creative and original – since they themselves are content to perfect their superiors’ brainwaves. They admire people who have a wider social or political consciousness and they feel that someday (when they have all the comfort and security they need) they too would like to be involved in these big issues.

In business affairs Taurus can be very shrewd – and that makes them valuable to their employers. They are never lazy; they enjoy working and getting good results. Taurus does not like taking unnecessary risks and they do well in positions of authority, which makes them good managers and supervisors. Their managerial skills are reinforced by their natural talents for organization and handling details, their patience and thoroughness. As mentioned, through their connection with the earth, Taurus people also do well in farming and agriculture.

In general a Taurus will choose money and earning power over public esteem and prestige. A position that pays more – though it has less prestige – is preferred to a position with a lot of prestige but lower earnings. Many other signs do not feel this way, but a Taurus does, especially if there is nothing in his or her personal birth chart that modifies this. Taurus will pursue glory and prestige only if it can be shown that these things have a direct and immediate impact on their wallet.

Taurus Career Horoscope 2014 - Taurus Work Trends 2014

Mars Retrogrades March 1 to May 20—Expect Delays
I don't feel you will be short of things to do on the job in 2014. Mars will be spending an unusually long time in your workaday sector (solar sixth house), so you will be very busy with projects.  If you are self-employed and hope to pick up lucrative clients for your business, you can do that quite easily in the first half of the year, and you will not likely run out of assignments. When one job finishes, another will come up, and this will be the pace all the way to July.

Mars will be retrograde for a time within this phase, however, from March 1 to May 20, and that might prove to be a frustrating period for you.  You will find projects that you are working on will proceed slowly. If you make a major presentation to a group of clients and are awaiting word back during this phase, it may take an inordinately long time to get final approvals. In fact, that green light might not come until mid-May.

Everyone, of every sign, will be feeling this slowdown, as Mars is the booster rocket providing the energy and drive to all major endeavors. When Mars retrogrades we feel like we are walking through glue.

Uranus, the ruler of your house of fame and honors, will be moving in fast, direct speed from January 1, 2014 to July 22, 2014. Then, Uranus will retrograde until December 22, 2014, so career progress will move at a noticeably slower pace. You can still see gains, but it will take you longer, and you will have to work harder to see them. It is typical for Uranus to go out of phase for five months at a time (it does every year), so use that time to tweak your strategy and assess your progress so far this year. Uranus is an outer planet, and would not affect you like a smaller, more "personal" planet like Venus, Mercury, or Mars would do when retrograde.
